Sandburg students give back to the community during the holidays!

Every year at Carl Sandburg Middle School our Spirit Service Club stuffs stockings to give to the kids at the Salvation Army for Christmas.  Sandburg holds a drive so the students and staff can collect and donate all materials that are used to make the stockings. The S.A.D.D club also wrote Christmas cards to Veterans that were filled with love and kind messages to bring joy to them during the holidays. Mr. Weiner and the participating students in the band also collected donated gifts to wrap to donate to the organization “toys for tots”.  Donating these gifts helped to bring a little holiday cheer to families in our community. All together, Sandburg came together during the holidays to give back to our community and its members to make everyone’s holidays much brighter.
