On October 27, 2017 Carl Sandburg Middle School participated in the world wide Orange project by creating a display of orange post-its, spelling out “HOPE”, with motivational and supportive words for those who may be suffering from the effects of suicide and suicidal thoughts. The color orange is used for suicide prevention efforts because it represents emotional strength in difficult times. The Orange Project is a movement around the world to raise awareness of the possible warning signs, to prevent suicide, and to encourage adolescents to ask for help.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I showed this to my friend when she really needed it.
